A.D.M College for Women (Autonomous), was selected by UGC as a Skill Hub provider for imparting Vocational Education to the dropout students at the age group of 18 to 45 years. We are one among the 110 Colleges selected by UGC for the Pradhan Mantri Kaushl Vikas Yojana 3.0 (PMKVU 3.0) scheme implemented through National Skill Development Corporation of India.
We have sanctioned with two job roles, namely, Plumber General and Beauty Therapist. We have conducted Plumber General course at ADJD Ploytechnic. The technical support and infrastucture provided by the ADJD Polytechnic. Mr.V.Palanivel and technical team handled the session for 28 candidates and the course was completed successfully with an assessment exam on 20.05.2022. Meanwhile, a virtual audit was conducted by National Skill Development Corporation on 19.04.2022.
For the Beauty Therapist Course, an MOU was signed with ‘Natural Training Academy’, Chennai and 80 Candidates were admitted and trained by two Trainers Ms. Evangeline and Ms. Lysa from NTA. A ‘Beauty Salon’ was established for handling the practical classes. Course materials, Aprons and T-shirt were provided to the students. The course was completed successfully after finishing the assessment exam on 04.06.2022 and 05.06.2022. The certificates were distributed by the District Collector of Nagapattinam Dr. Arun Thamburaj, IAS, on 18.10.2022.
