About DBT STAR COLLEGE SCHEME

The DBT STAR COLLEGE SCHEME was launched in the year 2008 by the Department of Bio-Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India for Strengthening of Science Education and Training at Undergraduate Level across the country. This scheme aims at improving critical and innovative thinking and to improve and inculcate 'hands-on' experimental work with approaches towards technology development needed at the undergraduate level in sciences. This scheme encourages more students to take up higher education in science, support for developing infrastructure for academics and laboratory activities and stimulates teaching and provide exposure to experimental science.

The college has been selected for the prestigious DBT STAR COLLEGE SCHEME funding grant in October 2023. The amount was sanctioned during July 2024. The period of the scheme is three years. Our sincere thanks are due to the Department of Biotechnology for having selected our Institution under this scheme and also for sanctioning considerable grant to uplift the rural women folk and make them to acquire academic and practical skills in science.
